Andrej Ilić from the University of Novi Sad (Serbia) has successfully completed a one-month secondment at BioAssist S.A. in Piraeus (Greece) under the GaitREHub project.
He focused on mobile application development for gait analysis during his stay. He developed a mobile application using Flutter and Android Studio that uses phone back camera and MediaPipe Pose to track the subject during the gait cycle. To verify the landmark detection, the application was tested on colleagues and on video examples of pathological gait.
Andrej successfully integrated this new gait-tracking feature into the existing Bioassist application. During this secondment, he expanded the app capabilities, delivering a functional video-based tracking tool to support the ongoing work of the GaitREHub project.
