Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand.

Stamatios Orfanos from BioAssist (Greece) has successfully completed his 6-month secondment at Prince of Songkla University.
During his time at PSU, he focused on applying machine learning techniques to classify IMU signals of abnormal gait patterns. His contributions included:

  • Developing algorithms to detect abnormal gaits and provide feedback to patients.
  • Creating a mobile application that connects to IMU devices and integrates his algorithms.
  • Preparing one manuscript and one conference proceeding based on his research outcomes.

This secondment was highly impactful, with Mr. Orfanos making significant contributions to the GaitREHub project, advancing both research and practical applications in gait rehabilitation technologies.
